ARE THESE PIECES TARNISH-RESISTANT?

YES. All pieces that state "stainless steel" are hypoallergenic and tarnish resistant, meaning they will not turn or erode in color.

WHAT IS HYPOALLERGENIC?

Hypoallergenic means there is minimal risk of this kind of jewelry causing an allergic reaction such as itching, swelling and reddening of the skin. This is especially great for those with sensitive skin who still want to wear chic jewelry without the risk.

WHY DOES JEWELRY TARNISH?

Tarnishing is a result of jewelry being exposed to everyday chemicals in substances such as air (oxygen), water, oils, lotions, sweat etc. When gold jewelry tarnishes, it's gold plating is stripped away and the base metal is exposed, i.e. brass, copper, and sterling silver.

HOW DO I PREVENT MY JEWELRY FROM TARNISHING?

Stainless steel jewelry can last for at least two years or longer with the proper TLC. 

Best practices:

• When you're not wearing your pieces, keep jewelry in dry spaces away from water or humidity. 
• For cleaning use a mild dish soap in warm water and briefly soak jewelry. Dry and wipe with a microfiber or jewelry cloth.
• Although stainless steel can withstand water and sweat it is advised to remove jewelry if it will potentially be exposed to these substances for a long period of time.
• Your jewelry should be the LAST thing you put on. Apply your perfume, lotions, oils, etc, first to reduce contact with your jewelry and thus dwindling its lifespan.

*Note: You want your jewelry to last as long as possible, which in addition will extend your coin.  

WHAT LENGTH ARE THE CHAINS?

All chain measurements will be stated in the products description. They normally range from 40cm (15.5in) to 45cm (18in).
